Can we do this forever?

As I reflect on the years to come and the amazing journey that has brought me here, I must give thanks to GOD for his many blessings. I am nearing the end of my time here, and I am really starting to realize how much I will miss and what I will be leaving behind. I have amazing family, friends and people who love me. These people have made my 22 years on this Earth so amazing :] Without them, trust me, I would not be here today. My boyfriend of 2.5 years has been the most supportive, loving, understanding individual [partly because he puts up with me lol]. I thank God for him everyday because I know that I will not be able to replace him or find anyone who is as complementary to me as he. Baby, nobody is you-er than you. I love you so much that it hurts.

Ok...whoooooo! Done being sappy..the tears keep flowing. Here are a few pics of me and my loves.

Enjoy :]

Its Official!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys! I know its been a minute but I was waiting on the "green light" on Bangkok aaaaaaaandddddddd I AM OFFICIALLY GOING!!!! Woooohooooo! I got the pivotal email early this week so now I am waiting on the man to tell me how much this plane ticket is gonna cost me..lets hope its under $1500 [pray for me]

So anywho..I am taking this Senior Capstone class which basically a class every Senior at Mercer must take to graduate. My class is titled "The Quest for Wholeness" [James Earl Jr. voice] and its basically a class about finding your true purpose and happiness in life. Its actually extremely interesting, and we actually hold fully in depth discussions for 2 full hours [thats almost unheard of - especially in a class full of Seniors]. I actually read the FULL reading assignment before each class, and I made a 96 on my first paper! [insert happy dance here] I am done with this class on June 25th; after which I will receive my diploma so my cover will no longer be empty :)

In other news, I am trying to travel the country to see each of my friends before I leave. I am going to Texas to visit mi madre; Essence Festival with the LS's; and trying to make one last stop in Miami because that's my favorite city [well its actually 2nd to DC but dont tell].

Long story short: I am trying to save money while taking 38249753498 trips and still having a fun summer. Let's hope I succeed.

Oh and btw: I finally cut my hairrrrrrrr! Its fully natural and my curls are beautimous! Pics coming sooooon!

So much to do..soooo little time

Its about a month before I must leave to do my duty to the world...yeah I'm gonna teach English to the unfortunate children in Lampang, Thailand. At first..I must say..I was only going to fill my "year off" before law school. Yet, I have now come to the realization (after reading The Post-American World by Zakaria) that English is the language of globolization..and most children, especially in rural areas of Asia like Thailand, would not have access to even an English speaking person if it weren't for programs like Service First @ Mercer University.

Soo..I have so much to do before I leave - which is about 3 days after graduation! yeah..I know. I have to get my shots, get 2 roots canals (grossssssssss), pack my immense suitcase with clothes that I probably cant wear because they're too provocative, and figure out how many skype credits I need to purchase. I'm sure there's more..butttt I can't think of anything else right now. Mind you..its almost finals time and I am taking 19 hours..which means I have 6 final exams. Pray for me...

To say the least, I am excited..nervous..a little sad about leaving my family, friends and mi novio..but also a little adventurous. I have not been out of the country since I was born in the UK and came back to the states at age 1..so my knowledge of the world is slim. However, I feel that people are people and no matter where I go, I know one word that will cross all cultural and language borders - A BIG FAT SMILE =)

So Im gonna gear up..strap up my chacos..and burst on the scene of Lampang with a smile and a passport.

Wish me luck...
